Quite
possibly the single biggest impact player in
minor league football in 2007, Bobby was a
threat in all three facets of the game for
the Shockers. Already the single
leading receiver in team history, Bobby was
also the first to reach 1,000 yards.
On special teams he set the bar high with 7
total punt and kick off returns for
touchdowns during the season changing the
complexion of many games in a flash.
Defensively, he was called on to replace an
injured Ryan Kalalau and was spectacular
with 3 interceptions. Could become the
top receiver in minor league football
history with another season like 2007 under
his belt. Played for Team USA
against the hometown Graz Giants in Austria
and was called on to play quarterback when
the other two roster QB's failed to make the
game. Poeltl had never played QB in
college or in semipro football yet kept the
Americans in the game finally losing
21-17. Switching jersey numbers
to #5 for 2008. Put his name in 4
record book categories with Semi Pro
