The first hearing impaired player in team history, David
took his high school talents across the
country to Washington DC and Gallaudet
University where as a back he won the
distinguished honor of recording the most
pancake blocks. A physical presence
running the ball, Beaver is also a huge
threat in the open field of the Shockers
passing game.
Won the "Dirty 30" Award for
playing in a game with a broken finger and
dislocated shoulder (put back in himself)
during college. While at Decatur,
David was the defensive player of the year.
Began to come into his own as a linebacker
towards the end of the season in 2008.
Look for Beaver to be utilized on both sides
of the ball more effectively in 2009.
