One
of the Shockers multi-talented athletes,
Combs has played tight end, defensive end
and outside linebacker in his Shocker
career. He was utilized as a lead
blocker in the 2006 PNFC championships final
drive paving the way for a near Shocker
upset of #1 ranked Seattle. In 2007
Combs found himself loose in defensive
backfields as safeties tried to account for
the Shockers outstanding receivers. In
2008, with the incoming Matt Jackson at
tight end, look for Combs to have a breakout
season on the opposite side of the
ball. Potentially playing opposite the
ferocious rush of Ron Strozyk, Combs could
again rake in honors as the Shockers
multi-threat man.
