Shockers and PNFC merge with Evergreen Football League!

#9 Mark Meadows - Quarterback/Defensive Back

  • Height: 6'1"

  • Weight: 215

  • College:  Peru State College

  • High School: Neligh-Oakdale High

  • Hometown: Neligh, NE

  • Age: 37

Meadows enters his 10th year of minor league football as a "wherever" guy who's been around the block.   Coach Meredith has taken Meadows from defense where he picked off 2 passes and recovered 2 fumbles one for a TD in 2007 and placed him in the QB spot to backup the young guns battling for the starting spot.  Knee surgery in 2004 kept him out most of 2005 but returned to play a solid backup role at outside linebacker in 2007 following a second surgery on the same knee to remove scar tissue.  Utilized as a blocking tight end in 2006.  Has played all four defensive back positions as a member of the San Jose Jaguars, and played tight end for the Omaha Panthers.  Was primarily a wide receiver in college and designated special teams "headhunter".  Selected as defensive captain of the New Zealand Haka in 2002.
