For 2 1/2
seasons Randy has been the Shockers
"big stick" guy in the defensive
backfield. A fierce hitter, he is the
team leader in pass break ups during his
tenure, as well as a leader in
interceptions. He serves as the team
punter and also the kickoff specialist since
the departure of Nate Turner. One of
the fastest defensive backs in the region,
wide receivers are always aware (or should
be) of where Alderman is on the field.
Otherwise the first introduction could be
very painful.
