Upcoming Events

Would you like free admission our home opener? Sign up now for the blood drive. We will have Puget Sound Blood Center "blood mobile" at our first game, and when you donate blood you will recieve free admission and a free Shockers Football team t-shirt! Pre-registration is preferred. For more information contact Sarah at volunteers@shockersfootball.org

There are some local volunteer opportunites that anyone can sign up for right now:

*Gateways for Youth & Families--this is an outdoor opportunity to do some planting and gardening to help local families Hours: anytime Location: 104th St E in Tacoma

*GRUB--an organization that donates manpower and time to building vegetable gardens for underpriveledged families and teaches them how to maintain their garden year-round. Location: Olympia Requirements: Notify the office when you will be able to help on the farm or you can do an entire day of garden building.

*The Tacoma Public Library--many opportunities exist, but if you want the most flexible schedule you can help clean children's books. Requirements: Completed volunteer application

*Washington State Special Olympics--volunteer to help at the state competitions for the Special Athletes. Numerous positions are available: coaches and assistant coaches must take a class; various coordinator and game day assistants are needed. There are two upcoming competitions that still need volunteers: April 28 and May 30-June 1, both at Ft Lewis.
