"Maty"
stepped down as head coach of the Shockers
following a 14-1 season in 2007 and now
looks to step back on the playing field for
one last hurrah. One of the nastiest
middle linebackers on the legendary Auburn
Panthers team which had an unbeaten streak
of 57 games in the mid 1980's, Steve was
inducted into the MLFN Hall of Fame in 2006
following a near 20-year career as a player
and assistant coach before taking the head
job with the Shockers. Holder of one
of the best won-loss records in the
northwest (24-2), Steve will look to
continue those winning ways once again from
under a helmet.
